Running a freelance business takes time — time to build your brand, time to market your services, and time to actually produce your product. Trying to fit everything in creates some pretty long days, even without the hassle of a commute! You may be tempted to work through the evening, perhaps well into the night or wee hours of the morning, just to make a dent in your mile-long to-do list. Don’t. Just because your office is at home and you can work whenever you want to doesn’t mean you should be working around the clock.

Have a set quitting time — a time that each day, no matter what is left to do, you turn off your computer, get up from your desk, and have a life outside your freelance business. Spend time with your family, get together with friends, or curl up with a good book — do something that relaxes and rejuvenates you!
